Violetta Grudina, the head of Navalny's headquarters in Murmansk, held a one-person picket in support of politician Alexei Navalny at the central square of the city. Police detained her. Grudina reported this in her Telegram channel on August 20.
Activist Violetta Grudina came to the Five Corners Square with poster "Navalny is poisoned, the hirer is known" at about 5PM. About an hour later, she was detained by police and taken to the District Department of the Interior of the Oktyabrsky District.
“I am accused of violating the procedure for conducting a rally and charged with Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses [Violating the Established Procedure for Holding a Public Event],” Grudina said.
Update 19:25: Violetta Grudina said that she was staying overnight in a temporary detention facility.
In the morning of August 20, opposition politician Alexei Navalny felt unwell on a plane flying from Tomsk to Moscow. The pilots had to land the plane in Omsk where Navalny was taken to intensive care. He lapsed into a coma, doctors say he is in critical condition. Kira Yarmysh, Navalny's press secretary, claims that the politician’s tea could have been drugged.
