A woman in a wheelchair staged a picket near Yakutsk City Hall, prompting a response from three police officers, Honest Yakutia reported on November 8.
The woman held a sign declaring a dry hunger strike, stating that her "pension is either stolen or withheld" and that it’s "impossible to get anything from the police."
According to Sakhaday, the retiree had previously reported issues with receiving her pension at the Main Post Office a few months earlier. However, the exact nature of her complaint remains unclear.
Three police officers arrived at the picket site and prohibited passersby from recording and posting videos online. The woman declined to speak with a blogger who was filming in the officers' presence. No reports have indicated whether the protester was detained.
