In Chelyabinsk Oblast, the regional payout for signing a military contract has increased from 305,000 rubles to 705,000 rubles, following a decision by the region’s Legislative Assembly on July 25.
Combined with the Ministry of Defense’s remuneration, residents of Chelyabinsk Oblast who sign military contracts will receive a total of 900,000 rubles.
Residents of the city of Miass will also be granted an additional 100,000 rubles, as approved by local deputies on July 24. With the contributions from the region and the Ministry of Defense, contracted soldiers from Miass will receive a total of 1 million rubles.
In July 2024, three Russian regions—Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug—raised payouts for contracted soldiers to over 1 million rubles. The highest amounts for signing a military contract are paid in Karachay-Cherkessia, where the regional portion is 1.3 million rubles, bringing the total to 1.5 million rubles. In Krasnodar, compensation can reach 1.6 million rubles with the city’s contribution.
