The prosecution service found out that students of the Pazhga correctional boarding school worked on the subsidiary farms of local residents.
Employees of the prosecution service visited the Pazhga boarding school and found that the students could walk around the village uncontrolled and, with the knowledge of the educators, do work on the farms of residents, including harmful one. The Komi prosecutor investigated the violations, and the district prosecutor was instructed to investigate the activities of the entrepreneur who hired students from the boarding school without documents. The Komi Commissioner for the Rights of the Child also joined monitoring of the educational institution.
On July 27, teacher of the Pazhga boarding school told 'Tribuna' that her students cut hogweed with shovels and received burns three times.
Several administrative cases have been brought to the management of the orphanage for violation of sanitary norms. On August 2, the prosecution service passed recommendation to the Komi Ministry of Education, which denied that the children received burns while cutting the hogweed.
On July 29, the children's ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova requested a check.
