Voronezh police detained two Chechen men who stood up for their relatives. The police, without introducing themselves, demanded that women show their documents. An unknown user posted video on VK.

On July 27, two people in civilian clothes, who introduced themselves as law enforcement officers, demanded that Chechen women with children show their documents. One of them began to take video: the staff refused to show their documents to the camera. The second woman with a baby in her arms said she was underage, and demanded a legal representative. According to the girls, the police were concerned, as they were wearing headscarves. Ruslan and Shamil Adullayevy tried to intercede for relatives, but the police detained them for not complying with the requirements.

According to 'Notebook Voronezh', the local Ministry of Internal Affairs has already begun an official check of these detentions.

Ruslan Abdullayev confirmed the fact of detention to the «7x7» correspondent, but declined to comment on the incident.

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, commented on the detention of Abdullayevy in his Instagram, he expressed hope that Russian Interior would demand verification of the legality of the actions and inaction of the participants.
