Administration of municipal enterprises of passenger transportation of Arkhangelsk represented by the Director and Chairman of the Arkhangelsk Transport Association Alexander Sitkov began to take revenge on its own employees, who have been fighting for their rights for several years. We are talking about intercity lines № 22, 44, 12.
Thus, according to numerous reports of employees, Sitkov ordered to reduce wage rates for those employees who had previously appealed to the courts and won lawsuits to recover reduced wages according to the "Federal industrial agreement on the highway and public municipal surface passenger transport". Conductors and drivers were given only 80-90 rubles instead of 3-5 thousand rubles. Employees who didn’t sue (it’s about 10 people) got full bonuses. Despite the increasing of fares, the employer unilaterally reduced tariff rates for drivers and conductors, which is a gross violation of labor laws. Employer must notify employees on reducing rates in writing within two months. Despite numerous prescriptions of prosecutors, the legislation regarding wages in enterprises was not implemented.
With high probability we can say that the administration of municipal enterprises demonstrates to those employees, who in the future will think about filing a claim, that they will be discriminated against in their constitutional rights.
However, neither the workers nor the trade union organization, as noted in the federation, had been given the order to lower tariff rates and premiums in violation of the law.
Also, a problem with decent working conditions of employees is not solving: conductors and drivers are not given work clothes, people can’t even go to the toilet.
Trade unions call for employers to negotiate and mutually agree on the conditions and wages of workers.
