Sakhaaya, a former employee of the executive committee of United Russia in Yakutia, has filed a lawsuit against her ex-husband, Sulustan Zabolotsky, head of the party’s regional division, accusing him of regular beatings during their marriage. This was reported by SakhaDay on September 5.

Sakhaaya shared that Sulustan Zabolotsky physically assaulted and humiliated her. He refused to comment on the accusations.

"After yet another instance of his infidelity, I suddenly realized how my phone gallery is full of photos and videos of his cheating and my bruises. I pitied Sulustan, thinking about his future 'deputy position,' and his parents, who had to deal with constant quarrels and infidelity," SakhaDay quoted his ex-wife.

Sakhaaya claimed that after filing the lawsuit, Zabolotsky tried to intimidate her. SakhaDay journalist Viktoria Tarabukina stated that she herself faced threats from Zabolotsky's ex-wife after publishing the story about the abuse.

This is not the first scandal involving Sulustan Zabolotsky. In 2011, his former wife, gymnast Violetta Ivanova, accused him of beating her and breaking her nose.

In July 2024, the wife of Kirill Sobolev, another member of United Russia in Yakutia and a deputy of the Yakutsk City Duma, also reported physical abuse. However, after the media published her story, she began defending Sobolev. He retained his position, and the City Duma refused to investigate Sobolev for violations of deputy ethics.
