A 20-year-old pregnant resident of Sudzha was taken to Sumy to give birth. Her sister called on Putin to "negotiate with Ukraine" and save the family from shelling, as discovered by "7x7" on September 4.
The Fursov family from Lebedevka, Sudzhansky District, had been missing since August 6. The Liza Alert search-and-rescue team issued missing person alerts for Yulia, who was pregnant, her 10-year-old brother Anton, and their parents, Yelena and Andrey. Yulia was in need of medical care.
A family acquaintance told "7x7" that Yulia, accompanied by her mother, was taken to Ukraine, where she gave birth to a baby boy named Mikhail on August 22. The women were allowed to call Russia to disclose their location. The family was later returned to Lebedevka, which is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU).
On September 3, the Ukrainian Television News Service aired a report on the Fursov family. Yulia’s mother stated that her daughter would have died during childbirth without the help of military doctors. Yulia added that her son was born prematurely due to the stress she had endured.
"7x7" discovered that Yulia’s sister, Lidia Gridina, had posted an appeal to the "leadership of the Russian Federation" on VKontakte, urging them to "negotiate with Ukraine" and create a "green corridor" to evacuate her family and other residents of Sudzhansky District to safety.
According to a local resident’s account shared by Ukrainian television, 43 people remain in Lebedevka, but there has been no way to contact them. Lidia Gridina did not respond to "7x7's" inquiries.
