On August 1, members of "Squall," a special forces unit of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) for Ulyanovsk Oblast, trained children from the "Country of Heroes" shift at the "Jam" summer camp on how to quell unrest, as reported by the service’s press office.
"Ways of detaining offenders sparked particular interest. Members of the 'Squall' squad demonstrated several efficient techniques and spoke about the importance of abiding by the law," asserted FSIN representatives.
Children also tried on body armor and learned how to provide first aid. FSIN deleted the post after it drew the attention of the media.
In 2021, a similar professional orientation session was conducted in Nizhnevartovsk, where the police showed schoolchildren how to disperse rallies. "Protesters" threw balls at the "riot police," who hid behind shields. The head of the police was reprimanded, and an internal inspection was initiated.
