A massive street brawl, complete with gunfire, erupted in Chelyabinsk's Leninsky district on Saturday, May 25. According to 74.RU, citing one of the participants, the conflict involved local youth and former members of the Wagner PMC.
One of the Wagner PMC's participants in the brawl accused their opponents of using firearms. Chelyabinsk police intensified street patrols over the weekend, and law enforcers briefly detained three soldiers but later released them.
As per 'Baza's report, the conflict stemmed from a dispute over a girl: her ex-boyfriend attacked her current partner, who was a participant in the war. The girl then called her father, a member of the Wagner PMC, whose comrades proceeded to beat the attacker's friends. Later on, more of the attacker's friends joined in and started shooting at the Wagner PMC mercenaries.
The Investigative Committee launched a criminal case for hooliganism, and the police claimed to have identified all participants in the brawl. According to 'Ural Mash', without specifying the source, ten individuals were detained, and four were injured.
Another massive brawl unfolded in Verkhneyarkeyevo village, Republic of Bashkortostan, involving around 150 individuals, according to eyewitnesses. The propagandist Telegram channel 'Readovka' alleged that a group of Armenians targeted two participants in the 'special military operation,' prompting local residents to intervene on behalf of the soldiers.
Ildar Mustafin, head of the Ilishevsky District, revealed that the conflict, occurring over a week ago, had 'personal origins' and 'unfolded in a café amid alcohol consumption.' Mustafin stated that the administration is taking preventive measures in the district. Similar to Chelyabinsk, the Investigative Committee opened a case for hooliganism.
