The Supreme Court of Chuvashia recognized as legitimate the refusal of the Cheboksary administration to agree a rally against corruption on March 26. Administration recommended organizers of the rally to move the action to another date. This was reported on June 19 at the Cheboksary headquarters of the politician Alexey Navalny.
Activists plan to appeal the decision of the court in higher instances up to the European Court of Human Rights.
Chuvash human rights activist Alexey Glukhov commented on the verdict of the judge for «7x7»:
'On March 26, the 'Young Guard of the United Russia' occupied all the hyde parks and several other good places. But there are many other sites in a half-million city. We do not know what will be written in today's ruling of the Supreme Court of Chuvashia, we just know the operative part – our complaint was not satisfied. We will find out next week.'
On March 26, on the day of the all-Russian anti-corruption action initiated by Alexei Navalny, several hundred Chebokary citizens joined with slogans and posters to the environmental pickets of the MGUR. According to Chuvash human rights activists, ten activists were brought to administrative responsibility for not obeying police demands at rallies in Cheboksary on March 26. The teacher of the kindergarten Alyona Blinova was soon fired after participating in the actions.
