The organizer of the rally in Apatity, scheduled for June 12, told Murmansk human rights activist Violetta Grudina that he and his business partners were telephoned by people who identified themselves as policemen and threatened with 'problems'.
According to Grudina, the activist plans to withdraw his application for the rally on May 31 because of threats. The organizer is frightened, an unknown person called him and introduced himself as a police officer and invited him to a private conversation. The activist refused. He does not want to communicate with journalists.
Violetta Grudina herself filed three notices for holding an anti-corruption rally on June 12 in Murmansk in different places. She said that police force the organizers of the anti-corruption rally in Olenegorsk to sign warnings about the inadmissibility of violation of legislation on public events. The employees of the Murmansk administration asked Grudina to sign a permit for processing personal data for the police, but the human rights activist refused.
The politician Alexey Navalny called for rallies against corruption on June 12, on the day of Russia. On March 26, actions were held across the country demanding the authorities to answer the facts from the film of the Anti-Corruption Foundation 'He is not Dimon'.
