On the morning of September 18, six drones attacked a military unit in the town of Toropets, Tver Oblast, leading to a fire and ammunition explosions, according to the Telegram channel 112, which is affiliated with law enforcement.
The Toropets administration announced an emergency evacuation and closed access to the town. A total of 7,500 residents were evacuated.
According to official reports, 13 people were injured in the attack. Governor Igor Rudenya stated that there were no fatalities or severe injuries.
The Russian Ministry of Defense provided information on drone attacks in five regions but did not mention Tver Oblast.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations urged Toropets residents not to publish photos or videos of the fire caused by the drone attack, under the threat of criminal prosecution. The town administration accused those sharing the videos of aiding the enemy.
