Security forces have detained a Krasnoyarsk Krai resident for removing 13 posters promoting contracted military service. This was reported by the press office of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for Krasnoyarsk Krai and the Republic of Khakassia on August 22.
Zheleznogorsk resident removed banners encouraging enlistment in military contracts in June 2024. He now faces criminal charges for discrediting the army (Part 2 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The Federal Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs compiled the case materials. The Investigative Committee's press office for Krasnoyarsk Krai and the Republic of Khakassia has released a video of the arrest.
According to investigators, the man caused approximately 30,000 rubles in damage to the Zheleznogorsk administration. He is expected to be placed in pre-trial detention.
