Police have begun patrolling Borisovskoye Cemetery in Moscow. The Baza media outlet reported that Navalny might be buried there. Additionally, there was news of the funeral taking place on February 29. Newly emerged Telegram channels are spreading information about the burial date and location, which Navalny’s ally, Ivan Zhdanov, has already labeled as fake.
Navalny’s body was handed over to his mother, Lyudmila Navalnaya, on February 24, 9 days after his death. Lyudmila shared that investigators blackmailed her and asked to bury Alexey secretly. Actors, writers, and singers recorded video messages urging the handover of Navalny’s body. Over 96,000 Russians lodged complaints with the Investigative Committee.
