Women in Ivanovo who plan to have an abortion will be shown embryo models, as reported by the pro-life organization "Cradle" on August 31.
In Ivanovo, women seeking an abortion will be shown replicas of embryos. Sets of these replicas were awarded to three antenatal clinics that won the "Protecting Lives" contest, organized by the pro-life group "Cradle" with the support of the Department of Healthcare of Ivanovo Oblast.
According to "Cradle," the embryo replicas were funded by a couple who requested to remain anonymous.
Regional authorities continue to devise various measures to combat abortions. In August, the Voronezh Oblast government proposed that all private clinics in the region voluntarily cease performing abortions at a woman's request, but only two out of 16 agreed.
