On November 27, Governor Alexey Russkikh of Ulyanovsk Oblast announced via his Telegram channel that payouts to contracted military personnel would be increased 2.5 times to "replenish losses."
Alexey Russkikh signed a decree introducing an additional payment of 1.5 million rubles for individuals signing military contracts in Ulyanovsk Oblast.
"We need to replenish the losses sustained during the Special Military Operation (SMO). By the end of the year, we must recruit 900 contract soldiers," the governor explained during a session of the regional Legislative Assembly.
Including federal, regional, and municipal bonuses, residents of Ulyanovsk Oblast who agree to join the war effort will now receive a total of 2.5 million rubles. Previously, this amount stood at 1 million rubles.
Payouts in Ulyanovsk Oblast are among the highest in the country. Only Belgorod and Nizhny Novgorod Oblasts offer more (3 million rubles), followed by the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (2.75 million rubles).
