Kirov civic activists held a series of one-person pickets near the office of the regional trade union of police officers and building of the Russian FSSD in the Kirov region.
The cause of the protest pickets on the Kirov streets was emerged information about a possible settlement of employees of the special detachment Berkut in the region; they took part in the dispersal and killing protesters in Ukraine. Let us recall that such an initiative was advanced by the chairman of the trade union of employees of the internal affairs of the Kirov region Yuriy Basmanov. As Basmanov told «7x7», he disapproves of these pickets. He believes that the position should be express on blogs, but if you want to hold pickets, you must coordinate it with the authorities.
In turn, civil society activists insist that before taking the Berkut in the region, it is necessary to give a legal assessment of their actions.

"We need to obtain the incontrovertible facts that these people were persecuted in their country for political, religious or other beliefs, or national, racial or other grounds, and that their lives or safety and/or the lives of their relatives were at risk, as a result of what they were forced to leave the territory of their homeland," a picketer Yaroslav Shitov said to «7x7». Furthermore, Shitov believes that the solution to this question should be approached solely from a pragmatic point of view, and people should forget about their emotions and political positions.

A picketer Vladimir Melkishev shared with «7x7» his opinion about the possibility of the employees of the Berkut settlement in the Kirov region:
"We are not a foe to resettlement of the Berkut families, because they can really become victims of a vendetta. However, the employees of the special detachment themselves should stay in Ukraine and face trial. Not even implicated in crimes may be witnesses of these crimes of the Yanukovych regime, whose testimony will be important. And until such time as they don’t get a legal assessment of their actions, their resettlement is out of the question. Situation may turn out so that now everyone will run out and those who simply didn’t have time to escape will be under the People's Tribunal. In the meantime, the preventive measure of the former employees of the Berkut should be of recognizance not to leave or pretrial detention (at least they will be in safety)."
