Between October 14 and 21, kindergartens across various Russian regions published at least 102 reports on holding "Conversations about Important Things" lessons with children, according to 7x7’s calculations.
Following the example of schoolchildren, preschoolers now raise the Russian flag and sing the national anthem on Mondays, followed by a "Conversation about Important Things" lesson.
During these lessons, children are taught about "traditional values" and the war in Ukraine. For instance, in the village of Pangody, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, they were given a lecture on the role of the mother and father in the family.
In Bogdanovich, Sverdlovsk Oblast, a war participant was invited as a guest, while in Kursk, a veteran of the war in Afghanistan gave a speech and read a poem about the "special military operation." In the village of Uralsky, Orenburg Oblast, children were photographed with a portrait of Governor Denis Pasler during a discussion about the region’s flag and emblem.
However, most of the reports reviewed by 7x7 focused on topics unrelated to politics or the war. Lessons were also held in connection with Father’s Day and Bread Day, and several kindergartens discussed what it means to be an adult.
On October 3, during a meeting with the nominees and winners of the "Teacher of the Year" contest, Vladimir Putin expressed his support for introducing "Conversations about Important Things" lessons for preschoolers aged five and up. On September 2, Putin personally conducted one of these lessons at a school in Tyva.
