On October 11, the Sverdlovsk Oblast Court sentenced former Uralvagonzavod operator Viktoria Mukhametova to 12.5 years in a penal colony and fined her 300,000 rubles on charges of treason (Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), as reported by It’s My City.

According to investigators, Viktoria Mukhametova and her husband, Danil Mukhametov, a former Uralvagonzavod engineer, provided "information on military technologies" to Ukrainian intelligence services. Viktoria's husband’s case is being considered separately, and he has not yet been sentenced.

During interrogation, Mukhametova admitted to handing over certain blueprints to Ukraine in exchange for 100,000 rubles, which she and her husband planned to use "just for living."

Viktoria and Danil Mukhametov were detained in March 2023 and jailed for 12 days on charges of minor hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code) for allegedly swearing in public. Upon leaving the detention center, they were arrested on charges of treason.
