The authorities of Saratov Oblast have reduced the number of medical establishments authorized to examine foreigners by threefold, according to a statement made on October 1. The list of authorized clinics does not include private ones.
The authorities of Saratov Oblast reduced the number of clinics permitted to screen foreigners for infectious diseases from over 60 a few years ago to just 20 today. Private clinics were excluded from the list.
"This decision was made to streamline operations in this area and strengthen control over migration policies," officials reported.
