A criminal case for attempted murder and robbery (Articles 105 and 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) was submitted to the Chernovsky District Court of Chita, as reported by the court’s press office on September 27.
According to investigators, in April 2024, a drunken man attacked a woman in a parked vehicle, stabbing her several times before attempting to steal her car. The victim fought back and survived the attack.
In the past two years, only one criminal case with this combination of charges has been submitted to the Chernovsky District Court. It involves 32-year-old Alexey Patrushev, who was released from a penal colony to fight with Wagner PMC in Ukraine and later returned home.
In 2014, Patrushev was sentenced to 22 years for the murder of two people, rape, and attempted murder. During a party, he attacked a homeowner after taking offense and later raped the homeowner’s partner.
Ten days later, Patrushev murdered an elderly couple and, according to investigators, raped a 79-year-old woman, one of the victims. However, he was later acquitted of one of the rape charges and even sought compensation of 1 million rubles.
