Yaroslavl Oblast will pay 100,000 rubles to individuals who encourage others to sign military contracts, announced Governor Mikhail Yevrayev on July 15.

Yaroslavl Oblast has increased payouts for recruiting contracted soldiers. Governor Mikhail Yevrayev explained that the remuneration has risen from 30,000 rubles to 100,000 rubles.

To participate in the "campaign," recruits must provide the name of the person who recommended them to join the army when signing the military contract. The money will be credited to the referrer’s account once the soldier has reported to their military unit.

A similar initiative has been launched by authorities in Tatarstan, where local residents will also receive 100,000 rubles for persuading their acquaintances to enlist.
