The governor of Pskov Oblast has refused to give the addresses of bomb shelters to a deputy from 'Yabloko,' labeling the party as 'swarming with foreign agents.' This statement appeared in a report by 'Pskov Pravda' on June 5.

Artur Gaiduk, a deputy of the Regional Council, informed the governor about the citizens’ inquiries regarding the addresses of bomb shelters, a question that became pressing after the region was attacked by drones. Governor Mikhail Vedernikov claimed that this data was confidential.

"I recommend the party swarming with foreign agents not to ask such questions. We will never share this information with you. [...] It would be similar to openly disclosing the measures we intend to take during military operations," Vedernikov said.

In August 2023, defense structures in the region were 37% ready, recalled 'Pskov Pravda.'

In March 2024, during a live broadcast, the head of the police of Pskov Oblast stated that the region, which shares a border with Europe, did not possess an air defense system. This information appeared in a report by a local media outlet, which later deleted the news.
