Ivanovo residents have complained about the inability to secure an appointment with a surgeon at Ivanovo City Hospital #1. IvanovoNEWS confirmed the personnel shortage, citing the hospital’s chief physician.

A resident of Ivanovo, seeking treatment for an aggravated ulcer, was offered an appointment delayed by one month. Hospital management added that emergency care would be provided if necessary.

"Recently, three of our surgeons have passed away, and one is in the special military operation zone. While organizing two full-scale surgeon shifts is not always feasible, we are constantly seeking additional staff," stated Chief Physician Andrey Chikin.

According to Artem Metelev, Chairman of the Council of the Association of Volunteer Centers, over 2,000 medical personnel, including students, volunteer in the 'SMO zone.' The exact number of doctors from Russian regions who have been mobilized or deliberately joined the army remains unknown.
