Roskomnadzor has deemed the publication of photos and names of Volgograd residents who honored Navalny's memory lawful, according to information released by the 'Volgograd Watch' Telegram channel on April 25.

As per Roskomnadzor, Sergey Mazanov, the host of 'Volgograd 1' TV channel, obtained information about Navalny's supporters from open sources and therefore did not violate any laws.

In March, Mazanov and his co-host Roman Potolovsky held a broadcast where they disclosed the names and workplaces of individuals who came to lay flowers in Alexey Navalny's memory. The journalists also displayed photos of the locals and provided links to their social networks, referring to them as 'traitors.'

One of the affected individuals, lawyer Roman Melnichenko, filed a complaint against the TV hosts with the prosecutor's office. Three other Volgograd residents joined him for a collective lawsuit. The journalists later claimed that they did not include any photos or social media links in their report and characterized themselves as law-abiding citizens. They also labeled the video in question as 'fake.'

In early April, the prosecutor's office forwarded the complaint regarding the violation of personal privacy to the Investigative Committee for consideration on the merits.
