Activist Anna Stepanova from Arkhangelsk Oblast reported closing her KhvostolapoV Pet Boarding Facility and its community on vk.com because she left Russia. She posted this message in the pet boarding facility’s community.

On October 7, Anna Stepanova announced in the pet boarding facility’s community that she was deleting the community and closing the pet boarding facility in Plesetsk because she had left Russia. After February 24, Stepanova left Russia for Georgia in order to avoid criminal prosecution.

In Oktober 2021, the KhvostolapoV Pet Boarding Facility owned by eco-activist Anna Stepanova burned down in the village of Plesetsk, Arkhangelsk Oblast. Together with her husband, she managed to save dogs, cats, and birds. Stepanova told 7x7 that unknown people had repeatedly threatened to set the pet boarding facility on fire. According to her, the firefighting activity took a long time: firefighters left for refueling, which took more than half an hour.
