A charity collection of recyclable materials is going to be held in Murmansk from December 19 to 20. It is organized by activists of the Priroda i Molodezh (‘Nature and Youth’) Environmental Movement. Raw materials will be given for recycling, and raised money will be transferred to the Ulitsa (‘Street’) Community Organization, which helps homeless people. Representatives of the movement told 7x7 about this.

Waste paper, plastic, and aluminum can be brought for recycling during the campaign. Waste paper includes books, newspapers, magazines, cardboard boxes, advertising leaflets, and other paper products. Activists will not take burnt paper and cardboard, paper stained with oils or chemical substances, pizza boxes, egg trays, paperboard cores, receipts, and tissues for recycling.

Representatives of the movement ask to bring clean plastic, without food and drink residues, as well as to sort raw materials according to recycling codes, which can be seen at the bottom of bottles or near barcodes on packages, or by type: aluminum comes to aluminum, lids come to lids.

Priroda i Molodezh will give collected raw materials to the EcoSistemaServis and ASM-Polymer Companies for recycling. Raised money will be used to help homeless people.

The recyclables will be collected from 12PM to 5PM at the office of Priroda i Molodezh Movement on 14a Volodarsky Street, Apartment 63 or in the Youth Centre on 3 C. Orlikova Street. You can learn more about the campaign here.
