The Zona Prava (‘Zone of Law’) Human Rights Project has launched a helpline for relatives of patients who died of COVID-19 without proper medical attention. The Telegram channel of the Legal Aid Headquarters announced this on November 10.
People, whose loved ones died after being denied hospital admission, in the queue for a CT scan, at the entrance to the hospital, and in other cases of not providing proper medical attention, can use the helpline.
Human rights defenders will explain what documents are required for applying to the Investigation Committee, what data need to be specified in the offense report, what to do, if a criminal case was not initiated. Zona Prava will help draw up a moral harm action to the hospital, if the applicant has documents that confirm defects in healthcare delivery.
