According to coordinator of the truckers protest movement Tatyana Syachneva, the court fined Igor Finkovsky, Igor Sharapov and Alexei Borisov, detained in Khimki for the protest against the system 'Platon' truckers, 10 thousand rubles for participation in an uncoordinated meeting (part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and 500 rubles for the disobedience of the police (article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
We were not able to contact with truckers — they did not get back their personal belongings and phones yet, four of them were waiting for the court's decision.
From released truckers, the coordinator learned that the conditions of detention in the cell were unbearable: there was no ventilation, not enough beds, awful food. In this regard, Alexei Borisov started a hunger strike.
'The detainees were given mattresses with lots of 'living things', and dirty bed linen. They slept in turn: four people were lying, two — standing. Then they changed. We learned it from those who were released first,' Syachneva said.
On May 21, more than 10 truckers gathered in a parking lot near Leroy Merlin for a protest against the system of collection of payments 'Platon'. The reason for the next action was the refusal of Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov from a meeting with truck drivers and his words that the conflict was allegedly settled. Among the participants was the leader of the protest movement of truckers Andrei Bazhutin, coordinator of the Ryazan branch of the Russian Carriers Union Alexei Borisov, drivers from other Russian regions: Sergei Vladimirov, Daim Imerkhanov, Yuri Bukanov, Valery Saprykin, Maxim Arzhanykh, Sergei Ponezha, Sergei Rudametkin, Igor Sharapov and blogger Igor Finkovsky. According to Tatyana Syachneva, who was always in Khimki on the scene, drivers were detained without explanation an hour after the appearance of trucks in the parking lot and sent to police department No. 1 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Khimki.
'No one was going to hold loud rallies; guys drove up to the parking lot to conduct a peaceful protest action. After some time, policemen and OMON arrived. First they tried to evacuate Alexei's truck, then they simply sealed it and left on the parking lot under the protection of policemen. The drivers were taken to the police department — they spent two nights there,' Syachnova said. 'Yesterday, three long-distance truck drivers were convicted: they were assigned 10 thousand 500 rubles each for disobeying the demand of the police and participating in an uncoordinated meeting.'
According to other participants of the rally, trucks continue to arrive to Moscow. Truckers are not going to stop the strike.
The All-Russia indefinite strike of truckers against the system of collecting payments for travel on federal routes began on March 27.
